The Lake District - in particular Windermere with its Lake and wide
range of leisure and activity related support facilities - is an extremely popular tourist attraction throughout the year.
With the Yorkshire
Dales and Pennines countryside areas also just a short drive away, a growing number of the residents
of the major cities in Lancashire, Yorkshire and further afield, are discovering the joys – and security – of
living in the Lake District National Park, either in retirement or as a second – home.
Recent
years have witnessed an upturn in the number of investors attracted to agricultural land as an investment asset class because
of its amenity value, tax-planning benefits and as a secure long-term hedge against inflation.
Agricultural land has been one of the most strongly performing asset classes over the past ten years and with only
a small annual increase in the availability of prime land in scenic locations, this imbalance will continue to ensure strong
demand for such land.
